SHIPPING POLICY
CARRIERS USED
We use multiple carriers to ship our products to you. For orders under $100 we display USPS and UPS Services and their rates for your selection. For orders over $100 and Free Shipping is displayed, UPS Ground will be the chosen service provider in most instances.
USPS requires a mailbox to be present. Some address's may not be deliverable by USPS. Its your responsibility to know if you do or do not receive deliveries by the USPS and notify us of the issue USPS Tracking is non existent and their published transit times are not accurate, you should expect much longer than normal transit times.
For larger shipments we ship using multiple LTL Freight carriers depending on your region and cost.
TRACKING NUMBERS
All tracking numbers for online orders are emailed to the email address used when placing the order. If you misspell the email address you will not receive order confirmations or tracking information.
It's your responsibility to watch and monitor your package by the tracking number. if your package shipped USPS and cannot be delivered. You may be required to go to the local post office to retrieve your undelivered package. These packages will return to us after a few days. We will not refund shipping if your package comes back to us unaccepted at the post office.
It is possible that a package moves through the carriers distribution without being scanned. If this happens, usually the only remedy is to notify the carrier and wait for either the package to show up or for the carrier to classify as lost.
SIGNATURE REQUIRED
Most orders under $500.00 ship NO SIGNATURE REQUIRED. Larger value orders may be shipped Signature Required at our own discretion. It is your responsibility to make sure that someone is present at the time of delivery regardless of the signature requirements. If your package is left by the shipper unsigned or fraudulently signed and is lost, your shipping and parts may not be refunded. You must advise us within 24 HRS of a missing package so that we can file a lost package claim on your behalf. Beware that the shippers findings is based solely on their own information.
TRACKING SAYS DELIVERED BUT PACKAGE IS MISSING
-Check all around your property, doors, porches, mailboxes or bushes. Some shippers will attempt to hide your package to avoid theft.
-Check with your neighbors to ensure it wasn't delivered to the incorrect address.
-Notify the Carrier immediately
-Notify us within 24 hrs
MY PACKAGE WAS STOLEN
Package theft is a crime and in some cases can be a felony. If you suspect your package was stolen we will require a copy of a police report filed within 48 HRS of the delivery.
FREE SHIPPING
Sometimes we offer Free Shipping as a promotion for our customers. That does not mean that the cost does not still exist so understand that if you return an item you are still responsible for paying the return shipping to us and we do not refund the original actual shipping costs we paid.
If you live in a remote area or in a special area where the trucking company charges large accessorial fees its possible that we contact you for additional payment or redirect your shipment to a commercial address like the trucking companies terminal that will require you to go and pick it up. If you are not willing to work with us on these special circumstances it may result in us cancelling your order.
Live Carrier Expedited Rates
For convenience to our customers, we offer expedited shipping rates for items from our PARTS SECTION only. These rates are live published rates directly from the Carrier. Boyd Welding does not have ANY control over the pricing shown.
When you select a specific rate like UPS NEXT DAY AIR for instance you are purchasing an additional service from UPS that we will simply purchase on your behalf and are fully subject to that companies’ policies. Once the package leaves our facility, we do not have any control over the timely delivery, delays, lost packages. The ONLY thing we can do is view the tracking number and the tracking information the carrier provides, there is no hidden portal that has more information.
In the event something happens Boyd Welding will always do the best we can to hold carriers accountable for the actions or Lack of action but it’s very difficult and everything is subject to their own internal investigations and believe me they have a lot of excuses!
It is extremely important to understand that since March 2020 (COVID-19 USA Shutdown) Carriers like UPS have completely stopped their service guarantee. What does that mean? That means that when you select UPS NEXT DAY AIR and pay for Expedited services they will “do their best” to meet that request but its not guaranteed and if they fail to deliver, they will not refund you, or us so when you select these options it is a risk. Just thought you should know.
USPS SHIPPING
USPS requires a mailbox to be present. Some address's may not be deliverable by USPS. Its your responsibility to know if you do or do not receive deliveries by the USPS and notify us of the issue. if your package shipped USPS and cannot be delivered. You may be required to go to the local post office to retrieve your undelivered package. These packages will return to us after a few days. We will not refund you 100% if your package comes back to us unaccepted at the post office. USPS picks up from our facility daily however they pickup much earlier in the day than other shipping companies. It's common that we pull and package your parts, create a label and it sits here until the next day that USPS picks up from us.
We all agree that USPS is a Cheap shipping alternative but with that comes its own issues especially when it comes to tracking. We regularly see our packages move within USPS destinations without being scanned for days then the package is delivered. If you USPS tracking number does not update, no need for alarm, only patience is needed. if you have waited a realistic time frame (Days) depending on your location from FL and believe something may be wrong then feel free to contact us and we will see what we can do to help.
We do offer alternate shipping options for additional cost that will get you more reliable tracking and delivery.
IN-STOCK TANK PARTS
Under most circumstances Items shown within the parts section of our store are in-stock and ready to ship. In-stock tank parts ship on business days only. please allow 1-2 business days for your order to ship. Once shipped, you will receive a tracking number via the email you provided to us during checkout.
NOT IN-STOCK TANK PARTS
If for any reason we cannot fulfill your order immediately you will be notified via email within 1 business day with a projected lead time to ship. if you are unable to wait your order will be cancelled and a full refund issued.
TANKS / ITEMS WITH LEAD TIME
Due to the nature of offering customization to our tanks, most of our tanks have a lead time. Some tanks take longer than others to ship but most will ship within 2-4 weeks. We attempt to post accurate lead times within the description of the item. if for any reason it is unclear you should use the contact us form and ask before you order.
BACKORDERS
We do not ship partial orders. If any item is back ordered, we will hold the entire shipment until it can be fulfilled complete.
CANADA SHIPPING
Only items from our “Parts” section of our site are eligible for USPS shipping to Canada. Currently we are unable to ship our tanks directly to Canada.
Please note: We do not guarantee that you will not be charged additional duties and taxes. Any Additional fees for the final delivery of your order is your full responsibility. If for any reason you reject your package or it cannot be delivered and is returned to us. You are still responsible for all of the costs associated. We will deduct those costs from any refunds.
Hawaii / Alaska Shipping
All items from our parts section can be shipped via USPS. You should not have an issue checking out using our basic Flat Rate.
Universal / Model Specific tanks can be shipped to you no problem. There will be additional Shipping costs associated. We will handle this on a case by case basis. Send us an email with the exact SKU#’s and your complete Physical shipping address and we will send you a total cost.
Order Processing Days
Order processing and Packaging is only performed Monday through Friday during our working hours of 9AM to 4PM EST from our Ocala, FL location excluding any Boyd Welding scheduled shutdown and national holiday's. Under high volume days there are cases where we work on a holiday to fulfill orders but they are delayed leaving our facility until the next normal business day since the carrier is not running.
