Great product ! Fit great! Easy install! Great directions even though i mounted tank differently than suggested . However do not plan on getting an answer from customer service because apparently there is none . 2 emails and no reply back. No number to call on website . Figure out your questions on your own or by you tube videos of others that had same questions without reply’s
I found Boyd's searching for a quality affordable tank for my '66 Suburban. I replaced the original, while doing major upgrades 3 years ago, with a "conversion tank" for C10's. It was an import and was much thinner gauge than the original. It was based on a later model Blazer. That tank cracked twice at the bottom. Junk. My son and I installed the new Boyd's tank in an afternoon. It took a bit of time to to modify the Classic Instruments tank sender but it works fine. My only real issue was the need to heavily modify my stock Suburban filler neck and vent line. It was great to order exactly the tank I needed with a 1 1/2 in. filler neck and the dual pickup sump. No one makes a replacement tank for '66 Suburbans so the filler mods were expected. The only suggestion I have for the optional sump is to offer other sizes besides -10. My system is dual -6 but located AN reducers to adapt it. The tank fits great ! We took great care to measure and drill the mounting flanges for a perfect fit. This tank is form and function, very high quality and half the cost of others. The service is top shelf too.
This is my third tank from Boyd’s and they’re worth every penny. Quality is much higher than anything else out there at this price point. They’re also not beat up from shipping like everyone else. Excellent products!
