This Tank includes our 41001 In-tank EFI Assembly with Aeromotive 340 pump. the pump fitting on the plate is threaded for a -6 ORB fitting (9/16-18 O-Ring).
Each tank is intended to mount to the bottom of the frame rail. It is not necessary to remove the "X" Shape rear cross member as the tank will sit below it. The mounting tabs will require drilling and trimming to clearance frame rivets and bed mounting holes.
If you have removed that cross member when adding 4 link coil over or airbag kits, it is possible to mount the tank to the top of the frame rail. Additional fabrication to the bed floor will be required and it will be required that you add appropriate frame crossmembers to avoid frame flex which is known to crack tank seams or fatigue the tank body.
The craftsmanship of this tank is impeccable. The welds are flawless and will be seen by others as the bed floor lifts to access the tank. It actually worked out perfectly on my 69 shortbed c10 sitting on a 55 Chevy chassis. The 45* corners in the front of the tank work well by allowing clearance for the rear Coil overs. This tank would work well with any 55-57 Chevy car chassis. Keep up the outstanding work!
