This cleanout is perfect for many applications where access to a tank is needed for cleanout or inspection. These are best used on flat firm surfaces and will create a tight seal without any type of sealants as long as there is not any distortion of the tank surface, upper plate or loose screws.
it has come to our attention that many customers are utilizing this kit for a more economical repair to the Kubota BX series tractor tanks. You must be aware, we did not design this kit for this application, have not performed this repair ourselves. This kit may not be appropriate for this application it is 100% up to you, the customer, to determine if this kit and its components are appropriate. 2 of the screw heads stripped out before fully seating. Significant fuel leakage, so had to replace stainless steel screws. Concerned about same problem occurring next time access is required.

I know Boyd Welding does not endorse it, but I determined after realizing that it would require probably 8 to 10 hrs of disassembling the back end of the tractor just to remove a clog in the fuel line that it was worth it. It worked perfectly. There was a caterpillar stuck in the fuel port that was pumped into the tank from the fuel storage tank. Kubota needs to seriously consider re-engineering some of the designs of their tractors. Especially the fuel system.
