I live on a large acreage where my wife and I, both seniors, mow & trim about 5 acres plus push now two fenced areas around the house. My wife helps a lot as I have a couple disabilities (back and heart) that makes hauling 3 to 5 five gallon gas containers to the gas station in the back of my GMC HD2500 Duramax pickup, pulling them out of the box to fill all of them on the ground, lifting them back into my truck, hauling them home, unloading, then filling a two 5 gallon tanks on a large zero-turn mower, filling push mowers, chain saw 2-stroke mix cans, a tractor, etc. all with fuel is more time standing and lifting than my back can handle.
Now, thanks to my new Voyd 35 gallon aluminum auxiliary fuel tank with pump, hose, and nozzle that fits perfectly under my tonneau cover, I can fill my truck with diesel, sit in my truck while it fills, then without moving my truck, I reach right over my pickup box side and easily pump up to 35 gallons of gasoline into my Boyd tank again while I sit in my truck. No back strain or excessive standing. It makes getting gas for the mowing and other acreage equipment so easy. I don't have to make special trips for gasoline as I refill the Boyd gas tank whenever I fill my truck with diesel. Next, filling my big mower and tractor is so fast and easy. Now I'm not standing there hold a 5 or 6 gallon, 45 lb gas can for 3 or 4 minutes, repeat for the 2nd mower tank. That's way more time than my back can handle. Now, it takes 1 minute and 15 seconds to fill each tank. I'm done before my back gives out or overstressing me. I hate my poor physical condition, but the Boyd auxiliary tank solves everything for me and still just took 12 inches out of my pickup bed length. Craftsmanship is A+++
Best purchase I've made in a long time. Thanks Boyd Welding. Note: I added a switch that says "fuel" in lighted blue to my left lower knee bolster dash area, added a relay to keep the switch amperage low and wired so that that there's only power to the switch and pump with the ignition on. That eliminates a couple risks like someone vandalizing and stealing fuel or pumping gasoline into my diesel pickup.
