35-Gallon Aluminum Fuel Tank for Gasoline or Diesel, with Installed GPI 12V 15 GPM Transfer Pump

The Boyd Welding 35-gallon tank, product number 13004, is built from 0.125-inch 5052 mill-finish aluminum with two internal baffles and AWS-certified welds, and every tank is pressure leak tested at 5–8 psi. It ships as a complete unit with an installed GPI 12V 15 GPM transfer pump, a 12-foot hose, a manual nozzle, a rollover vent, and a mechanical fuel gauge.

Choose a driver-side or passenger-side pump pocket. This tank is sold only as a complete tank-and-pump unit. It's backed by a 2-year limited structural warranty from the date of purchase and ships in 1–2 weeks or less, with free LTL freight shipping to the lower 48 states.

Fuel and Use

This tank and all included components are compatible with both gasoline and diesel. Every tank is fully pressure tested and inspected following the 49 CFR 393.67 liquid fuel tank guidelines.

Truck Bed and Bed Cover Fit

At just 12" wide, this tank is a compact option for trucks where bed space is tight. Fit depends on your truck, bed, and cover, so measure before you order.

Measure your specific application before ordering. The tank body measures 48" L × 12" W × 18" H. Make sure the larger 51" × 13.5" mounting footprint fits your bed space and that the 20" overall height, including the fill cap, clears the underside of your bed cover. Allow for any mounting materials, cover rails, or supports, and for the pump and its connections in the position you choose.

Pump-Position Options

Driver-side pocket, 13004-DP. The fill is 2" from the back of the tank to its center.
Passenger-side pocket, 13004-PP. The fill is 10" from the back of the tank to its center.

Choose the side you'll fuel from most often, and check the drawing for that position before you order. The notch in this tank is compatible only with the GPI M150S 12-volt pump with an EZ-Spin collar.

Installation Notes

The drain plug is supplied but not installed. Remove the blue shipping plug and install the drain plug before adding any fuel. Blue plugs are for shipping only and must never be used with liquid.

Protect the threads. Aluminum threads can cross-thread and gall easily. Start plugs and fittings by hand, and never install them dry. Thread damage from dry-fitted plugs or hardware isn't covered under warranty.

Brass fittings are recommended.

Can I put gasoline in this tank?
Yes. The tank and all included components are compatible with both gasoline and diesel.

Is it DOT compliant?
Our tanks are not guaranteed to meet DOT requirements, and no special permit is provided. Check the regulations for your use before installing.

Will it fit under my tonneau cover?
The tank is 20" tall including the fill cap. Measure from your bed floor to the underside of your cover, and allow for any mounting materials and cover rails. Also confirm that the 51" × 13.5" mounting footprint fits your available bed space.

What else do I need to install it?
Mounting hardware, a vent hose and small filter, and electrical connectors for your battery.
