50-Gallon Roll Top Step Aluminum Fuel Tank for Gasoline or Diesel, with Installed GPI 12V 15 GPM Transfer Pump

The Boyd Welding 50-gallon roll top step tank, product number 13007, is designed for full-size trucks with a Retrax or similar electric or manual roll top cover. Its stepped design uses the space under the roll top housing and still lets your cover close fully. It's built from 0.125-inch 5052 mill-finish aluminum with two internal baffles and AWS-certified welds, and every tank is pressure leak tested at 5–8 psi. It ships as a complete unit with an installed GPI 12V 15 GPM transfer pump, a 12-foot hose, a manual nozzle, a rollover vent, and a mechanical fuel gauge.

This tank is sold only as a complete tank-and-pump unit. It's backed by a 2-year limited structural warranty from the date of purchase and ships in 1–2 weeks or less, with free LTL freight shipping to the lower 48 states.

Fuel and Use

This tank and all included components are compatible with both gasoline and diesel. Every tank is fully pressure tested and inspected following the 49 CFR 393.67 liquid fuel tank guidelines.

Roll Top Cover Fit

The 8" × 11" step is shaped to clear the roll top cover's housing at the front of the bed, so you get fuel capacity without giving up your cover. Fit depends on your truck, cover, and hitch setup, so measure before you order.

Measure your specific application before ordering. The tank body measures 48" L × 24" W × 17.5" H. Make sure the 52" × 26" mounting footprint fits your bed space and that the 19" overall height, including the fill cap, clears your cover's housing and latches. Allow for any mounting materials, cover rails, or supports, and for in-bed hitch hardware. Use the published drawing to check your truck.

Known Fitment Issues

This isn't a complete list. Other fit issues may exist depending on your truck, cover, and hitch configuration.

  • 2025 Ram 2500 with a Roll-N-Lock cover: the latch and tank cap interfere on height.
  • 2026 Ford F-250 with a Retrax cover: the cover fits fine, but the tank mounts interfere with the OEM in-bed hitch puck system.

Pump Position

This tank is available with a driver-side pump pocket only (13007-DP). The notch is compatible only with the GPI M150S 12-volt pump with an EZ-Spin collar, which is included.

It's designed for Retrax and similar electric or manual roll top covers on full-size trucks. The tank is 19" tall including the fill cap, and the 8" × 11" step sits under the cover housing. Measure your housing, latches, and any in-bed hitch hardware against the published drawing, and check the known fitment issues above.

Does it have a drain?
No. This tank does not have a drain port.
