Needed a larger fuel tank for my Pontoon Boat. It is a small boat but only had a 9-gallon plastic tank. I ordered this 15-gallon tank from Boyd and could not be more satisfied. The communication once ordered was great. I received several updates during the process. The tank came undamaged and looks beautiful. Fantastic welds. Aside from additional fuel capacity it looks so much better than the plastic fuel tank that came with the boat. I highly recommend Boyd Welding.
really pleased with the welding artwork done on this tank, its going to hold up quite well, I Will need to apply a protective coating though to the fuel gauge as this tank will be in a corrosive environment (Power Washing Trailer) and I’m already starting to see signs of corrosion on the fuel gauge rim. If you have a stainless option for a gauge this would be an attractive upgrade.
Fuel tank is made very well, beautiful welds and is a work of art, the only thing that would be nice would be a way to contact your company by phone at least to leave a message for a call back to see what is possible to add to a tank,or for ordering one of the extra things, like I got the in tank gauge that I wanted, but I would also like to order the other one also that would hook up to my gage in the truck. I took the tank to a local welding shop in town to have a 3/4" bung welded in the bottom of the tank because I didn't know how to ask you to do that and they even said that they can build a tank but it would probably be about twice as expensive as this one by the time they built it. The only thing I think would be an improvement would be a way to call a phone number for at least a call back for requests or information, or even getting an extra item after you get it, but other than that it is very nice
